Islander Band Ensembles

Symphonic Band:  Participation in this select ensemble is by audition only and includes students in the symphonic band, and percussion classes.  This ensemble gives a minimum of three performances a year (holiday, festival & spring).

Concert Band:  Participation in this ensemble is by teacher recommendation and includes students in the advanced, symphonic and percussion classes.  This ensemble gives a minimum of two performances a year (holiday & spring).

Marching Band:  Participation in this ensemble is by teacher recommendation and includes students in the advanced, symphonic and percussion classes.  This ensemble performs at all home football games, marching competitions, pep rallies and parades.

Color Guard:  Participation in this visual ensemble is by audition only.  This is an extra curricular ensemble that performs with the marching band at all home football games, marching competitions and parades. 

Jazz Ensemble:  This is an extra curricular ensemble that meets twice a week after school beginning in November.  Membership is by audition or teacher recommendation.

Pep Band:  This is a student run extra curricular ensemble that meets as needed after school throughout the school year.  This ensemble performs for various informal school and community functions.

Small Ensembles:  Current small ensembles at PHS include the Percussion Ensemble, Brass Choir, Flute Choir, and Clarinet Choir.  These are extra curricular ensembles that meet as needed after school throughout the school year.  These ensembles perform for various formal school and community events.
